Membership - Social

Porters Park has around 50 social members - people who don’t play golf but simply enjoy the social side of the club.

Over the years, we’ve become renowned for running well-supported social events, including dances, film nights, race nights, casino nights, cabaret nights, themed food nights, live music events and West End theatre trips.

Annual events in our calendar include dinners, the new members’ evening, Burns night, the Summer ball, a Summer barbeque, quiz nights, a carol concert, the family Christmas lunch, the members’ Christmas lunch and our new year’s eve dance.

We also have a thriving bridge section, with various teams playing in local leagues and we also have fun, friendly bridge evenings.

Guests who have been invited to speak at the club or run events for members include golfers Nick Faldo and Peter McEvoy; Karl Morris, the UK’s leading golf psychologist; Henry Longhurst, the renowned golf writer, and Cecil Parkinson, MP.
