Matthew Masters

Matthew was appointed as Teaching Professional at Porters Park in 2007. Prior to joining, he was Head Professional at Lamerwood Country Club. Before this, he worked as an assistant professional at Ashridge Golf Club and as a senior assistant at Brocket Hall, having qualified as a professional in 1995.
 
Matthew holds a diploma in sports psychology and he is a Certified Mind Factor Coach, having trained with Karl Morris, Europe’s leading mind coach. He is a County Coach for Hertfordshire’s under 14s squad and he is also a Lead Academy Golf Coach for the Hertfordshire Academy, which provides coaching and encouragement to young people who are on the fringes of the county system.

Married with two daughters, he plays competitive golf in tournaments in the East Region PGA and Herts Alliance Pro-Am events.
