Why join Porters Park?
A private members’ club - owned by the members - we take great pride in being welcoming and inclusive.
We have a diverse demographic group of members, in terms of their age, gender, religious beliefs and ethnic
background. Whatever your golfing ability - whether you’re off scratch or a high handicap - Porters Park
offers tremendous opportunities to participate, meet other members and make good friends both on the course
and in the clubhouse.
We provide a vibrant and varied entertainment programme which includes tribute bands, quiz nights,
discos, classical concerts and a Summer Ball. While these events are predominantly aimed at members, they
are also greatly enjoyed by accompanying partners, many of whom don’t play golf.
The club listens to, and communicates with, its members. We produce our own monthly newsletter for
members, called Tee Times.
Finally, we’re a well-managed club, with very dedicated and professional staff and around 700 members.
All of our proceeds are invested back into the course and the clubhouse.
Full, five-day and restricted play memberships are available. The admissions process involves an
interview with the membership committee and a play-in, followed by approval by the general committee. New
members pay a one-off joining fee and an annual subscription.
If you’d like more information about joining Porters Park - or if you’d like to come and look around the
club and play the course - please contact Peter Marshall, the managing secretary, on 01923 854127.
